Avv. Prof. Roberto Carleo

Attorney Professor Roberto Carleo (r.carleo@legaletributario.net) is an accomplished attorney admitted before the Supreme Court. 

He is specialised in several branches of civil, corporate, consumer, bankruptcy and maritime law, arbitration and also in contract preparation. 

He is Full Professor of Private Law at the University of Naples “Parthenope”. He teachs also Civil Law at the University of Rome LUISS Guido Carli. 

Previously he tought Private Law also at the University of Teramo, where he held the position of Director of the School of Specialization in Legal Professions. He taught also European Private Law and Family Law at the Law School of the University of Rome LUISS Guido Carli. 

He is Judge of the High Court of Sport (Collegio di Garanzia) of the CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee). 

He is the author of several publications (almost one hundred) including some books on the following topics: arbitration clause (1998), Legal pre-emption (2000), pre-execution of contract (2003) and preliminary contract (about to be printed). He also wrote various essays and contributed to volumes, encyclopedic entries and articles in national and international journals (in particular with regards to: arbitration, civil liability, obligations and contracts, consumer law, family law, interpretation of the last will and testament, outsourcing, banking foundations, sector codes, intervention plans for enterprises in crisis, control and relevant connections in publishing legislation, the principle of subsidiarity, , electronic medical records, digitised health data, medical and pharmaceutical liability, personal data processing, digital platforms, Non-Fungible Tokens, etc.). and many others). 

He is speaker and organizer in many conferences and seminars, member of several commissions and national and international research projects. 

He is the co-editor of a Manual about Private Law, of a civil code and complementary laws edited with cross references and the co-founder and co-editor of the Law Journal “Nuovo Diritto Civile”- “New Civil Law” and participates in the direction, editing and refereeing of several other journals. 

He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Academy of Internet Code (IAIC).
